About
We started in 1989 as R J Waite Building Contractors doing brickwork. Developers appreciated the quality of our work and in time we were asked to do more and more - foundation work, roofs, etc - until we were pretty much undertaking the whole construction. So in 1992 we started undertaking complete builds for a developer then we were contracting with people and finished up building houses for both individuals and developers.
In 1999 we set up West Wight Developments to handle our own developments and now most of the work we do is own builds. Our latest development of eco-homes has sold very successfully (only one left!).
How we work
We aim to provide the highest quality work. We work with NHBC to keep standards high. We take a great deal of pride in everything we do.
In spite of the high quality targets we set ourselves, we have very quick build times - on average a single dwelling takes us 3 months to complete. If you need high quality and a fast build then look no further!
In 2010 Site Manager, Russell Waite, won the NHBC Pride in the Job Award - one of the most prestigious in the country.
